John
WALKER was a grocer in Aberdeen when he married Isabella GRANT there in June
1843. Their first daughter was
baptised the following March, but by that time, John had died. Nothing is yet known of John's origin. His
wife remarried and had two more children in Glasgow. John’s
daughter, Isabella, married George MORRISON, but in a repetition of her
mother's life, her husband died after their first child was born. Isabella remarried George STEVENSON, a
marine engineer, and had four more children, two in Aberdeen and two after
moving to London near the docks.
Isabella died in 1896 aged 52. |
